I successfully completed a CBRF training but did not get a certificate.  How can I prove to my employer that I completed the training?

All Employees who successfully complete Fire Safety, First Aid and Choking, Standard Precautions, and/or Medication Administration will be entered onto the Employee Registry, (students that complete any of the above courses will be added to the registry located here. ).  Your instructor is required to submit the roster and processing fee payment for each successful participant in their class(es).  When your name appears on the registry, your supervisor can print out a copy of that page of the Registry and put that into your personnel file.

My name does not appear on the Employee Registry.  What should I do?

Instructors have 10 business days to send the completed roster to UW Oshkosh CCDET for entry onto the Registry.  It may take several weeks for the information to be entered into the database and another few days to update the report and post it on the website.  If it has been 45 days since you took the class and your name still does not appear on the Registry, contact CCDET at mailto:cbrfregistry@uwgb.edu with the trainer name & training date.  CCDET will investigate and send you a response within 3 business days.

If someone doesn’t pass the test, are there instructions for what to do?  Can the person retake the test on the same day?

A participant must answer 90% of the questions correctly to pass the test.  A participant who does not attain a passing score may re-take the test one time on the same day.  A second failure requires the participant to re-take the course.

How do students get the participant guides?  How long are the participant guides?

Instructors must provide each student with a participant guide to keep.  Students use the guides for note-taking; as a reference during the test and as a resource upon returning to the workplace.  The length is dependent on the topic and is as follows:

First Aid and Choking- 30 back-to-back pages

Medication Administration – 60 back-to-back pages

Fire Safety – 30 back-to-back pages

Standard Precautions -13 back-to-back pages

What should I bring to class?

A pen and highlighter are useful for taking notes and remembering important concepts.

Can I eat in class?

Yes! Food and drinks are allowed unless told otherwise.
